Manage your booking and provide your photography services.

Process payments and maintain appropriate business records.

Use photographs for my portfolio, website, social media, advertising and other promotionalpurposes as set out in my photography agreement.

Share relevant photographs with wedding suppliers involved in your wedding where permittedunder the photography agreement.

Maintain the security and operation of my website and business.

3.Lawful basis for processing

I will only process personal information where I have a lawful basis to do so under applicable UK data protection law. Depending on the purpose, this may include:

4. Photographs, portfolio and marketing

Wedding photography naturally involves photographing the couple, guests, suppliers and other people attending the wedding. As set out in my photography agreement, selected wedding photographs may be used for portfolio, website, social media, advertising, wedding blogs, publications, competitions and other promotional purposes.

I may also capture behind-the-scenes photographs or short video clips of the photography process using a mobile phone or other recording device. These may be used for business, portfolio, marketing and social media purposes as described in the photography agreement. I will make reasonable efforts to use photographs respectfully and will not knowingly use them in a defamatory or misleading way.


5. Who I share information with

Where necessary to provide my services or run my business, I may share personal information with trusted third-party service providers, including:

  • Pixieset, which I use to provide online galleries and deliver photographs.
  • Website, email, hosting and technology providers.
  • Payment, accounting and bookkeeping providers.
  • Wedding suppliers where photographs are shared for the purposes described in this policy and the photography agreement.
  • Professional advisers, insurers or authorities where this is necessary or legally required.
  • Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, I will use appropriate safeguards where required by applicable data protection law.


6. How long I keep your information

I only keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including any legal, accounting, insurance or business requirements.

I intend to retain your final edited wedding gallery for approximately 12 months after delivery. After this period, I may permanently delete the images. You are responsible for downloading and securely storing your photographs once your gallery has been delivered. Selected photographs used for portfolio and promotional purposes may be retained for longer, subject to applicable data protection law and your rights.


7.Your rights

Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis for processing, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to the personal information I hold about you.
  • Ask for inaccurate or incomplete information to be corrected.
  • Request deletion or restriction of your information in certain circumstances.
